    Neyland Stadium

Hey folks. This Saturday I am going to watch UT vs. Oregon. I know I'm a Tech fan but I do like UT a little bit too.

Can anyone who has been let me know what all to do over there? Any pregame festivities? Good shops? What are the concessions? Hotels to stay at?

Cumberland Avenue is "the strip", lots of restaurants (fast food, and nice eateries). Lots of tailgating going on everywhere. The "Vol Walk" is pretty cool, its usually about 2-2 1/2 hours before kickoff. The band marching into the stadium down "The Hill" is a crowd favorite too. If you are taking children there is Volunteer Village on campus where they can have their face painted, games, etc. The Copper Cellar on Cumberland has really good steaks. Peyton Manning was there on Saturday. Met him and shook his hand. As far as a place to stay, good luck in Knoxville on game day, but you never know. I always come back home after the games, except for once. That one time we stayed in Pigeon Forge. Have a great time. Look for me, I'll be the one in orange.

Get there early and enjoy the entire day of festivities. Lots of Tailgating going on, you can watch a few as they come up the Tennessee River to join the Vol Navy. Make sure you check out the Vol Walk and the band coming in, both are must sees if you have never been. Also make sure you get in the stadium early enough to watch one of the greatest bands in college football, "The Pride of the Southland" they put on a good show pre-game.

Tailgating at Calhoun's on the River is always fun. Shoot there are numerous things to do on gameday. Enjoy your day and hopefully the stadium will be rocking. At least it will be as long as the game stays competitive.

Pay these prices and pay no more! Is that even said anymore? I've not been to a game at Neyland since high school.
